SHERLOCK 2-3 "And honey, you should see me in a crown"

ライヘンバッハ・ヒーロー。シャーロックの部屋をモリアーティが訪ねる、緊張感のある会話シーン。長めに引用したけど面白い部分です。相手が極悪犯罪者で（知的）ライバルでもきちんとお茶を出すところがシャーロックぽい。シャーロックは探りを入れる感じで、ここではモリアーティの方が優勢。

SHERLOCK: Kettle’s just boiled.
シャーロック：湯が沸いてる。

JIM: Johann Sebastian would be appalled.
ジム：ヨハン・セバスチャン（バッハ）もがっかりだろう。

JIM: May I?
ジム：座っても？

SHERLOCK: Please.
シャーロック：どうぞ。

JIM: You know when he was on his death bed, Bach, he heard his son at the piano playing one of his pieces. The boy stopped before he got to the end ...
ジム：彼が死の床についていた時、息子が彼の曲を弾いてるのを聴いた。息子は途中でやめてしまい…

SHERLOCK: ... and the dying man jumped out of his bed, ran straight to the piano and finished it.
シャーロック：死にかけている彼はベッドから飛び起き、最後まで弾いた。

JIM: Couldn’t cope with an unfinished melody.
ジム：途中で辞めるなんて耐えきれなかった。

SHERLOCK: Neither can you. That’s why you’ve come.
シャーロック：君もだろう。だからここへ来た。

JIM: But be honest: you’re just a tiny bit pleased.
ジム：でも正直、ちょっと喜んでるんだろ。

SHERLOCK: What, with the verdict?
シャーロック：何？　評決を？　

JIM: With me ... back on the streets. Every fairytale needs a good old-fashioned villain.
ジム：戻って来た僕にさ。ずべてのおとぎ話には古き良き悪役が必要なのさ。

JIM: You need me, or you’re nothing. Because we’re just alike, you and I – except you’re boring.
ジム：僕がいなければ君は何者でもない。だって君と僕は同じ、ただ君は退屈だけどね。

JIM: You’re on the side of the angels.
ジム：君は天使の側にいる。

SHERLOCK: Got to the jury, of course.
シャーロック：陪審員を操作したって訳だ。

JIM: I got into the Tower of London; you think I can’t worm my way into twelve hotel rooms?
ジム：ロンドン塔を制したんだよ、ホテルの12の部屋へ入り込めないとでも思った？

SHERLOCK: Cable network.
シャーロック：ケーブルだな。

JIM: Every hotel bedroom has a personalised TV screen ...
ジム：どの部屋も個別にTVがある。

JIM: ... and every person has their pressure point; someone that they want to protect from harm.
ジム：そして誰にでも弱点がある。守りたい誰かがいる。

JIM: Easy-peasy.
ジム：ちょろいね。

SHERLOCK: So how’re you going to do it ...
シャーロック：それでどうする？

SHERLOCK: ... burn me?
シャーロック：僕を焼く？

JIM: Oh, that’s the problem – the final problem. Have you worked out what it is yet?
ジム：ああ、それが問題さ、最後の問題。解けたかい？

JIM: What’s the final problem?
ジム：最後の問題は何だ？

JIM: I did tell you ... but did you listen?
ジム：もう話したけど、聞いてた？

JIM : How hard do you find it, having to say “I don’t know”?
ジム：「わからない」と言うのはどれくらい悔しいかな？

SHERLOCK (nonchalantly): I dunno.
シャーロック：（無関心に）わからない。

JIM: Oh, that’s clever; that’s very clever; awfully clever.
ジム：ああ利口だ、とても賢いね、賢いよ。

JIM: Speaking of clever, have you told your little friends yet?
ジム：そういえば、友だちには話したかい？

SHERLOCK: Told them what?
シャーロック：何を？

JIM: Why I broke into all those places and never took anything.
ジム：なぜ僕が強盗をして何も盗らなかったか。

SHERLOCK: No.
シャーロック：いいや。

JIM: But you understand.
ジム：でもわかってるよね。

SHERLOCK: Obviously.
シャーロック：明らかさ。

JIM: Off you go, then.
ジム：なら聞こう。

SHERLOCK: You want me to tell you what you already know?
シャーロック：君は知ってるのに話せと？

JIM: No; I want you to prove that you know it.
ジム：いや、君がわかってるか証明して欲しいんだ。

SHERLOCK: You didn’t take anything because you don’t need to.
シャーロック：君は何も盗らなかった、なぜならそんな必要はなかった。

JIM: Good.
ジム：よし。

SHERLOCK: You’ll never need to take anything ever again.
シャーロック：君は何も盗る必要がない。

JIM: Very good. Because ...?
ジム：いいね。なぜなら？

SHERLOCK: Because nothing ... nothing in the Bank of England, the Tower of London or Pentonville Prison could possibly match the value of the key that could get you into all three.
シャーロック：なぜなら、イングランド銀行やロンドン塔やペントンビル刑務所にある何よりも、それらに侵入できる鍵のほうが価値があるから。

JIM: I can open any door anywhere with a few tiny lines of computer code. No such thing as a private bank account now – they’re all mine. No such thing as secrecy – I own secrecy. Nuclear codes – I could blow up NATO in alphabetical order. In a world of locked rooms, the man with the key is king; and honey, you should see me in a crown.
ジム：たった数行のコンピューターコードで何処にでも入れる。銀行口座なんて全部僕のものだし。誰も秘密を持てない、秘密は僕のものさ。国をアルファベット順に核で攻撃もできる。密室だらけの世界で、鍵を持つ者が王なんだよ。ハニー、僕には王冠が似合うんだよ。

最初の「ケトルが湧いてる」は厳密には変な感じだけどこういう言い方するのはアリなんだね。
・appall「ぞっとさせる／がっかりさせる」
・cope with「嫌な状況に耐える／切り抜ける」
・villain「悪役」発音よくわからん…
・worm one's way into A「Aへ侵入する」虫の気持ちでリンゴに入っていくイメージでしょうか。
・pressure point「弱点」
・easy-peasy「ちょろい（子ども用語）」
・work out「（問題や謎を）解く」このwork out、他にもたくさん意味がありすぎる…とりあえず浮かぶのはビートルズの「We can work it out」ですね。
・Off you go 英辞郎だと「とっと失せろ！／消えろ！」なのでこの使い方は珍しいのかな。促す系だとShoot とかよく見かける気がする。

ジムの「核で国を爆破できる」のところ、字幕では「アルファベット順に」を（字数の都合で？）抜いていたけど、あった方が気まぐれで邪悪な感じが出て良いのになと思いました。
